Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Higgs Boson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohamad Salem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mohamad Salem told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Salem.
Good shot there by Boson.
Salem with a jab.

It looks like Higgs Boson has been cut.
Salem scores with a sloppy right hand. Boson should have avoided that one.
Boson throws out a loose jab but Salem uses good head movement to avoid it.
Salem jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Boson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Salem.
Boson misses with a right hand
and Salem cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Boson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Salem counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Boson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Salem defending well as Boson loads up on a big left hand.
A little jabbing left from Salem on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Salem throws a big shot that misses.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Boson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
We've been informed that Salem has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Salem takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Salem misses with an uppercut

and Boson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Boson avoids the elbow strike from Salem, against the cage.
Boson tries to break free but Salem pushes him back against the cage.
Boson blocking some punches.
Boson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Salem lands an elbow just above Boson 's eye.
Salem lands a damaging elbow.

Salem pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nice jab there from Boson.
Boson missing with a left hand there. Salem was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
As Boson backs off Salem throws a huge counter combo but Boson manages to avoid it all.
Boson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Salem stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Salem takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

It looks like Mohamad Salem has been cut.
Salem misses with a looping left.
Boson cracks a nice hook into Salem's ribs.
Boson looks to score with a jab to the body but Salem is just out of range.
A right-left combo lands from Salem.
Boson misses the jab.
Salem connects with a leg kick. Boson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Boson scores with a decent looking hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Salem misses with a straight right.
BOOM! Boson lands a beautiful left hook that drops Salem. Salem tries to recover but Boson is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Salem lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
