Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chico Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pasi Pulkannaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pulkannaru has chosen Judas Priest - Pain Killer as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pulkannaru has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Pulkannaru avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Sanchez is pushing Pulkannaru up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Sanchez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pulkannaru really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanchez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pulkannaru can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sanchez stands and throws Pulkannaru's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Pulkannaru is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Sanchez misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
