Charles's entrance music is Have Heart - Armed With A Mind. A fine choice. Azevedo has chosen Welcome To The Jungle as his entrance music. Augusto Azevedo acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Danny Charles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Augusto Azevedo!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Emerson Jorge and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azevedo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Charles but Charles pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Azevedo shoots for a double leg takedown but Charles sprawls well. He's pushed Azevedo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Danny Charles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Augusto Azevedo.
Azevedo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Charles tries to avoid it but Azevedo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Charles to the ground. Charles escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
It looked like Charles wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Azevedo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Charles's waist but Charles gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Azevedo off to one side.
