The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paavo dodges the punch combination from Mistry.
Paavo dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mistry. That did some damage!
Mistry throws a series of punches but Paavo moves out of range.
Paavo throws a head kick that misses.
Mistry misses with a jab, cross combination.

and Paavo counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Paavo throws a sloppy head kick and Mistry moves out of range easily.
Paavo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mistry throws out the jab.
Mistry ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Paavo moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mistry swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mistry tries to close the distance and clinch but Paavo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Paavo uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Paavo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mistry.

Paavo feints and then cracks Mistry's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mistry down.

Mistry wants to clinch
and Paavo finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Mistry drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Mistry gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Mistry takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Oh Mistry is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mistry swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Paavo counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Mistry seems to have got his legs back now.
Paavo digs a good body shot into Mistry's ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mistry fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Paavo, pushing him back against the cage.

Paavo lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Paavo lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Mistry backwards.
Mistry is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Paavo lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Mistry trying to control the position but instead, Paavo has worked for underhooks and has pushed Mistry into the cage.

Paavo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Paavo moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Paavo throws a lazy right hand but Mistry sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

A big left from Paavo misses.
Paavo cracks Mistry with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Paavo has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Mistry to stand back up!

Paavo lands a leg kick that knocks Mistry off balance momentarily.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mistry, as that shot connected.
Mistry lands with a nice combination. Paavo backs away looking to recover.

Paavo turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Paavo changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Paavo throws a right hand that Mistry ducks under and follows up with a left that Mistry also avoids with ease.
Paavo lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Paavo scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Paavo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Eliitti Paavo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A slow jab from Paavo misses its intended target.
Paavo throws a quick inside leg kick.
Paavo misses with a head kick.
Mistry throws a hook to the side of Paavo's head but Paavo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Good exchange - Paavo coming out on top.
Mistry will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Paavo is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Mistry had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Mistry moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Paavo connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Mistry tumbling to the canvas! Paavo pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Mistry was done - good stoppage!
