Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mason Gates!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Paul Hunt!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gates throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A swing and a miss from Hunt.
Gates definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Gates with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hunt to score with a decent uppercut.
Hunt is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gates.
Hunt jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hunt misses with an uppercut. Gates saw that one coming.
Paul Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gates ducks under a wild hook from Hunt.
Gates lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Gates takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Hunt works the jab nicely.
Gates is rocked!
Hunt lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Paul Hunt!
Paul Hunt decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
