Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Citrio Pavo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and De Janeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Janeiro struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. On his way into the cage it seems that Citrio Pavo has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Citrio Pavo seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.

Janeiro shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Janeiro showed some decent athleticism there.

Janeiro is working for a kimura but Pavo is defending it quite comfortably.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
