The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plouman Jnr shoots in and drives through. Horiguchi sprawls well.

Plouman Jnr fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Horiguchi sprawls well initially but Plouman Jnr persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Horiguchi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Horiguchi clinches up with Plouman Jnr and pushes him back against the cage.

The referee is keeping an eye on Horiguchi - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
