Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Justin Jackson!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson moves into the clinch.

Cayman jumps guard but Jackson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Cayman is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Jackson is defending well.
Cayman tries to score a body lock takedown but Jackson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Jackson has Cayman pressed against the cage, preventing Cayman from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Cayman is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jackson to keep the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cayman's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cayman connects with a nice short shot to Jackson's temple.

Cayman seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Jackson looks like he's trying to stand up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Cayman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Cayman postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Jackson to stand up.

Cayman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cayman showed some decent athleticism there.
Jackson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Cayman scores with a couple of nice shots.
Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cayman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cayman is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Jackson is trying to stand up here but Cayman is controlling him well.

Cayman is nestled in close to Jackson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
