Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vincenzo Langley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Maloney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maloney has chosen Jump Around by House of Pain as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maloney darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Maloney fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Langley sprawls well initially but Maloney persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Langley seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Maloney does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Langley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Maloney manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Langley on his heels. He'll look to pass Langley's guard now, I'm sure.

Langley has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Maloney can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Maloney slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Maloney stands and steps away. Langley gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Despite the aggression on Maloney's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Langley seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Maloney controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Maloney's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Langley has his foot on Maloney's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Maloney works his way back into a safe position though.

Let's hope that Maloney has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well Maloney has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
