Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Faustino Washington!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sammy Gravano!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Gravano misses
and Washington counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Gravano!
Gravano throws Washington to one side and escapes!
Gravano tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Washington paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sammy Gravano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gravano connects with a body shot that sends Washington's belly button to the back.
Washington misses with a head kick.
Gravano does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Gravano throws a leg kick but Washington sees it coming and moves out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A big left from Gravano misses.
Gravano tries to clinch but Washington is having none of it.
Gravano closes the distance and clinches up with Washington, looking for a takedown. Gravano pushes Washington against the cage but Washington circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gravano throws an overhand right that lands on Washington's shoulder, as Washington tries to avoid the shot.

Washington is fighting off a takedown attempt but Gravano is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Washington to the mat. Washington regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gravano working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Washington's head.

Gravano throws an elbow that misses. Washington uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gravano's guard. Nice move by Washington!
Washington controls from within his opponent's guard.
Gravano throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Gravano is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Washington defends well.
Washington won't allow Gravano to get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Gravano looking to hit a scissor sweep but Washington is one step ahead there.
Washington seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Gravano is trying to control the position but Washington postures up.
Gravano is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Washington decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Washington pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Washington throws a leg kick
and Gravano counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Faustino Washington has been cut.
Gravano lands a right hook to the body.
Nice cross by Gravano.
Washington is rocked!
Gravano feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Washington crashing to the mat! This one is all over!

Sammy Gravano decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
