The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kerr gets a double leg takedown into Lee's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lee can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kerr drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kerr jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Kerr passes easily into side control. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee is not content to let Kerr control the position.

Lee felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Kerr wants to free his trapped foot but Lee is holding on for dear life with his legs.
