Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nova Zigaman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gab Batista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zigaman comes to the cage accompanied by Prodigy - Breathe. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nova Zigaman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gab Batista!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batista throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Zigaman looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Batista lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Zigaman takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Batista throws a head kick but Zigaman moves out of range.
Zigaman misses the shot to the body.
Batista goes for a double leg but Zigaman avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Zigaman continues to drive forward.

Zigaman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Zigaman scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Batista to see if he's OK.
Batista has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Batista is looking to reverse the position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Zigaman thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Batista parries the strikes from Zigaman easily there. Zigaman is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Batista to escape.

Batista is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Zigaman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Zigaman's back!

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Batista's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Batista is trying to stick to Zigaman's back but Zigaman is turning into Batista. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Batista's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Zigaman.

Zigaman has his foot on Batista's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Batista works his way back into a safe position though.

Zigaman can't keep his opponent in guard - Batista advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Batista is looking to take a break and control but Zigaman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Batista wants to free his trapped foot but Zigaman is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Batista is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Zigaman is just riding it out for now. Batista eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Batista is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are battling for position here. Zigaman manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Batista not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Zigaman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Batista gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That was a close round but I would say that Nova Zigaman will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Batista shoots for a double leg takedown but Zigaman sprawls well. He's pushed Batista's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Zigaman attempts a counter takedown but Batista avoids it well and moves away.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Zigaman fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

An intense looking Nova Zigaman took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'If you look up the word loser in the dictionary, it will have a picture of Gab Batista. Listen, junior... get yourself another job and don't ever think you can compete with the freak again.'.
