Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jag rushes Valdez and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
I was talking to Jag's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Jag manages to break the clinch.
Jag scores with a head kick.
Valdez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jag is fending him off so far but Valdez persists. Nope, Jag circles away and we're back to standing.
Jag thinks about countering with a head kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Valdez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Valdez dives in and grabs Jag's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jag pushes down on Valdez's head and hops out.

Valdez shoots for a double leg takedown but Jag sprawls well. He's pushed Valdez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A little feinted left hand from Jag on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
