Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Manchego Byrne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JoJo Monsoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Byrne closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Byrne jumps guard and drags Monsoon to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Monsoon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Byrne swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Byrne avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Monsoon is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Monsoon would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Monsoon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Byrne swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Byrne ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Monsoon moves away.
Byrne showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Monsoon.
Monsoon throws a low kick but Byrne moves out of range easily.
Monsoon misses with an uppercut. Byrne saw that one coming.
Monsoon throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Byrne sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Monsoon dips to his left and cracks Byrne with an uppercut!
Byrne is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Monsoon feints the counter takedown.
Monsoon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Monsoon smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Byrne avoids the body shot from Monsoon.
Monsoon looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Byrne shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Monsoon sprawls well. Monsoon wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Byrne gets slowly back to his feet.
Byrne darts in looking for a takedown but Monsoon gets double underhooks and turns Byrne into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Manchego Byrne. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Monsoon misses with an attempted mid kick.
Monsoon throws a hook to the side of Byrne's head but Byrne sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
JoJo Monsoon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Monsoon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Byrne.
Monsoon wants to slow Byrne down by chopping away at his legs.
Byrne wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Monsoon is pawing at Byrne, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Byrne's nose. Byrne is badly hurt! Monsoon pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Byrne tries desperately to hold on but Monsoon is relentless in his assault! As Byrne receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Monsoon away and this one is in the books!
