Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Weed Plant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thor Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wood comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Wardruna - Blood Eagle kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Thor Wood was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plant tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Plant moves out of range as Wood throws a body kick.
Wood dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Plant. That did some damage!
Wood throws a front kick aimed at Plant's knee but Plant avoids it well.

Wood clinches up against the cage.
Wood looking to throw knees to the head but Plant is blocking nicely.
Plant tries to score a body lock takedown but Wood shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Wood stops a takedown attempt from Plant.
Wood with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Wood throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Plant takes an elbow to the forehead.

It looks like Weed Plant has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wood tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Plant is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Wood gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Weed Plant. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Plant tries to pull guard but Wood won't allow it.

Plant goes for a takedown attempt but Wood pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Wood has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Plant is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Plant jumps guard but Wood stands there with Plant around his waist. Plant gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Plant is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Wood locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Plant is forced to tap!
