PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doktor Tobak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nowa Sowa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sowa swings for the body but Tobak moves out of range.
Tobak tries to counter by clinching up but Sowa breaks away and moves out of range.
Tobak misses with a jab, cross combination.
A left lands for Tobak.
Sowa avoids the body shot from Tobak.
Nice sprawl there from Sowa as Tobak shoots in.
Tobak could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sowa avoids the head kick by Tobak.
Sowa doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Tobak walks into a jab.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tobak is defended easily by Sowa.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sowa closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Tobak manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Sowa keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tobak tries to pull guard but Sowa forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Tobak just misses with a elbow thrown towards Sowa's brow.

Sowa turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Tobak wants to control but Sowa postures up.
Tobak pushes Sowa away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Sowa gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Sowa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tobak keeps working.
Tobak is trying to get back to half guard.

Sowa works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Tobak is being controlled here.
Tobak is looking for a sweep.
Sowa landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

Sowa tries for a kimura but Tobak is defending well.
Tobak takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Sowa has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Sowa is looking to take a break and control but Tobak is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Sowa throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Tobak has his hands clasped together but Sowa breaks the hold and Tobak is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Sowa!
