Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rupert Whiston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Grossman!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grossman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Whiston paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Whiston throwing a counter right hand but Grossman manages to avoid it.
The fighters circle momentarily. Whiston darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Whiston lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Grossman circles away quickly and effectively.
Grossman is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Whiston fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Grossman looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Grossman shoots in looking for a takedown. Whiston tries to sprawl out of it but Grossman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Whiston manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Grossman shoots in looking for a takedown but Whiston manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Grossman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Rupert Whiston has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Grossman.
Whiston pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Grossman back to the cage. Whiston follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Grossman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Whiston sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Grossman somewhat.

Grossman moves into the clinch.
Whiston is trying to force a seperation but Grossman has the dominant position.

Whiston pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Grossman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

David Grossman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Whiston swats away the attempt to clinch by Grossman.

Whiston drops Grossman with a big left hand and mounts him. Grossman is in big trouble!
