PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Hess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rinky Spider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hess comes into the arena with Demiurge blaring out of the sound system. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

With a record of 45 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rinky Spider!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hess chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Spider can pounce on him.
Spider lands a nice shot to the body.
Hess throws a sloppy head kick and Spider moves out of range easily.
Spider throws the kick towards the body but Hess avoids it.
Spider has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Spider keeps Hess at a distance using the push kick.
Spider takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Hess lands a nice hook to Spider's body. Spider takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Spider on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Spider connects with a leg kick. Hess looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Hess walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

It looks like Jon Hess has been cut.
Hess looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Hess is looking to chop away at Spider's legs.
Spider throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hess.
Spider pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Spider thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hess avoids the body shot from Spider.
Hess tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Spider is able to avoid easily.
Spider lands with a thumping leg kick.
Hess takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Spider stuns Hess with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Hess moves forwards but Spider connects with a nice, crisp jab.

We've been told by Hess's head coaches at House of 1000 Corpses that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Spider looks to score with a jab to the body but Hess is just out of range.
Spider throws a half hearted mid kick.

Hess throws a low kick, looking for Spider's leg but Spider calmly moves out of range.
Spider throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Spider tries to work over Hess's front leg with a kick but Hess checks it.

Spider throws out a powerful jab.
A decent looking cross lands there for Spider.

Hess is rocked!
Hess gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Spider points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Hess wakes up just in time to hear Spider thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
