Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Harbor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mustafa Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Harbor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mustafa Khan!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan fails in his attempt to clinch.

Khan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Harbor to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Khan pushes Harbor off and gets back to his feet.
Harbor loads up on a big right hand but Khan slips the punch.
Khan swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Khan scores with a head kick.

Khan closes the distance and pushes Harbor back into the cage.
Still in the clinch, Harbor scores with a nice short uppercut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Harbor breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Khan shoots in looking for a takedown but Harbor manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Khan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Harbor displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Khan.
Khan shoots in looking for a takedown. Harbor tries to sprawl out of it but Khan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Harbor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
James Harbor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mustafa Khan.

Khan has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Harbor avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Harbor throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Khans head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Khan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Harbor throws out the jab.
Harbor connects with a body shot that sends Khan's belly button to the back.
Harbor definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Khan darts in looking for a takedown but Harbor gets double underhooks and turns Khan into the cage.
Khan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Harbor is looking to regain half guard here but Khan keeps moving and retains side control.

Khan decides to stand back up. Khan steps back and let's Harbor get back to his feet.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Khan.
Harbor throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Khan throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A telegraphed right hand from Khan misses the target.
Harbor attempts a counter takedown but Khan avoids it well and moves away.
Nice uppercut lands for Harbor. That snapped Khan's head back.
Harbor's corner calls for a 1-2. Harbor obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

and Harbor counters with a shoot takedown. Khan fights it but they end up in guard.
Harbor lands a couple of digs.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Harbor throws a big right hand that misses.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Khan is on top in guard.


That's four minutes gone in the round.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Harbor holds on and takes a little breather.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Harbor has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Khan is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Harbor.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Mustafa Khan will probably get the nod.
That's time! Harbor's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Khan throws out a loose jab but Harbor uses good head movement to avoid it.

Khan tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Harbor lands a right hand that snaps the head of Khan backwards.

Harbor blocks an elbow strike.

Khan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Harbor counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Khan!

Khan has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Harbor connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Khan's hands.
Harbor shoots in for a double leg but Khan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Khan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Harbor was well out of range. Poor timing from Khan.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Khan. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Harbor has Khan pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Harbor pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Khan tumbling to the mat - Harbor dives into Khan's guard.

Harbor lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Khan shoots in looking for a takedown but Harbor manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Khan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Harbor seems to be working for a kimura but Khan defends the submission attempt.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Harbor lands a nice short elbow.
Khan works his way to full guard. Good work.

James Harbor showed his dominance in that final round.
