Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by Drowning Pool- Let The Bodies Hit The Floor. Lester has chosen Five finger death punch - jekyll and hyde as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alec Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Lester!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Columbo Gatti and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson gets the takedown into side control.

Johnson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Lester is trying to escape the position but Johnson is controlling the position.
Johnson prevents Lester from escaping the position.
Johnson scores with a couple of short elbows.

Johnson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Johnson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Johnson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lester has escaped the position, nice work there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lester tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Lester is bucking up trying to escape but Johnson cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Johnson looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Lester is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Johnson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Johnson working for a guillotine from mount but Lester is in no mood to give up.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Johnson has hold of Lester's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lester manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Lester is trying to stand.

Johnson lands a big shot there that rocks Lester but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Johnson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

You get the feeling that Lester really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Lester in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Johnson is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Johnson!
