The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pauletty lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Pauletty lands with a shot to the body.
Menezes shoots in for a takedown but Pauletty shows good takedown defense.
Pauletty tries to clinch up but Menezes circles away and keeps his distance.
Pauletty stuns Menezes with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Pauletty moves out of range of the body kick from Menezes.
Menezes tries to clinch up.
Menezes tries to clinch but Pauletty is having none of it.
Pauletty was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Menezes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Menezes tries to close the distance and clinch but Pauletty swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Pauletty lands a nice hook to Menezes's body. Menezes takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Pauletty lands a big right hand that sends Menezes crashing to the mat! Pauletty stays standing though and waves Menezes back to his feet!

Menezes is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Pauletty doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Menezes crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Menezes's bad books for that mishap!
