Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rumina Sato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hois Kreisi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kreisi has chosen Ella ja Aleksi - Kakkaa lumella as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 22 - 0, fighting out of London, Rumina Sato!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hois Kreisi!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kreisi throws a lazy right hand but Sato sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kreisi misses with the combination.
Sato misses with a jab, cross combination.
Good standup being displayed there by Kreisi as he connects with a hook.
Sato throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Kreisi's head.


It looks like Hois Kreisi has been cut.
Kreisi looks to score with a jab to the body but Sato is just out of range.
Sato seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Sato moves forwards but Kreisi connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Sato throws a body punch but Kreisi moves out of range.
A countering left hand to the body from Kreisi misses.
We've been told by Sato's head coaches at Holding Cell that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Kreisi tries to keep at a distance but Sato has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kreisi jumps guard but Sato turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Kreisi is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Sato to keep the fight standing.

Kreisi pulls guard successfully.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sato stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Sato moves into the clinch.
A body shot lands from Sato.
Sato lands with a short shot to the head.
Sato misses with a hook to the ribs.
Kreisi fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Rumina Sato has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hois Kreisi.
Sato lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kreisi or not.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sato is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Sato working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Kreisi fails to pull guard.
Kreisi tries to pull guard but Sato holds him up against the cage and eventually Kreisi drops back down to his feet.
A body shot lands from Sato.
Sato is leaning against Kreisi and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Kreisi looks winded!
Kreisi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Kreisi is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Sato to keep the fight standing.
Sato lands with a short punch from the clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Sato.

Sato pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sato throws a head kick that misses.
Kreisi scores with a nice strike.
Sato uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kreisi.
A head kick by Sato - that's a beauty! Kreisi is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Sato can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Rumina Sato!
A less than humble Rumina Sato misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
