Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 45 - 22 - 3, fighting out of Montreal, Diego Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shunsui Kyoraku!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez throws a lazy uppercut
and Kyoraku counters with a slapping leg kick.
Sanchez is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Kyoraku has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sanchez.
Kyoraku takes one on the button.
Sanchez scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kyoraku in his tracks.
Sanchez dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kyoraku on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Sanchez. Sanchez obviously looking to wear him down.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Kyoraku might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Sanchez has got the better of the exchanges.

Kyoraku's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sanchez connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kyoraku scrambles back to his feet.

It seemed like Kyoraku was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
