Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Raymond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Sadler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leroy Raymond has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leroy Raymond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Sadler!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Sadler.

Sadler tries to keep at a distance but Raymond has taken the fight into the clinch.

Sadler escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sadler tries to clinch there but Raymond circles away.
Raymond shoots in for a takedown but Sadler shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Sadler scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


It looks like Leroy Raymond has been cut.
Raymond could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sadler goes for a double leg but Raymond avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Raymond continues to drive forward.
Sadler shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Raymond as he jumps to the side.
Leroy Raymond has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Sadler.

Sadler tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Raymond manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Sadler closes the distance and pushes Raymond back into the cage.
Raymond is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Raymond throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Sadler blocks it with crossed arms.
Sadler jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Raymond walks away with a smile on his face. Sadler gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Raymond gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Sadler.
Raymond manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Raymond appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Sadler rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Raymond moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Raymond is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Raymond shoots in and gets a takedown into Sadler's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Raymond postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Raymond forces Sadler back against the cage and clinches.

Raymond tries to throw a body punch but Sadler avoids it by throwing Raymond back against the cage.

Raymond tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sadler swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Raymond closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sadler did well to prevent Raymond getting side control.

Sadler fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Raymond manages to avoid it.
Sadler tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

A quick step to the side and Raymond tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sadler throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sadler leaves Raymond with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Raymond fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Sadler to the ground. Raymond is now in Sadler's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Raymond lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Sadler closes the distance looking to clinch

and Raymond counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Sadler!

Raymond tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Raymond has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Sadler sneaks out the side door and pushes Raymond away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Sadler takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

It looked like Raymond was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Sadler.
Raymond shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sadler but Sadler pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Sadler keeps control of Raymond as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Sadler tries for a takedown but Raymond sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sadler swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Leroy Raymond is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Sadler tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sadler tries to buck Raymond off so he can stand up but Raymond has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Sadler falls backwards, slamming Raymond to the mat but Raymond holds on tight! Sadler is forced to tap and this one is all over!
