Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dave Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Will Do!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Do on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Do rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brown moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Brown showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Do.
Brown was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
We've been told by Brown's head coaches at Guerrilla MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Do closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brown circles away.
Do takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Brown throws a body punch but Do moves out of range.
Do with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Brown shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Do is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Brown with a body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Do manages to avoid it.
Do checks the leg kick nicely there.
Do misses with a looping right.
Do looks to clinch
and Brown counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Brown lands a nice shot that snaps Do's head back.

Brown sends Do crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Brown is motioning to the referee to let Do up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Brown fails to land with a series of punches.
Do misses with a hook.
Brown connects with a looping right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brown displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Do.
Brown misses with a looping left.
Do fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brown avoids it really well and circles away.
Dave Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will Do.

Brown lands with a kick to the ribs.
Do moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Brown tries a low kick but Do avoids it.
Brown throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Do tries to bum rush Brown with a series of wild strikes but Brown uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Brown lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Do fails to land the takedown.
Brown throws a jab but it's blocked by Do.

Do has managed to clinch.
Do swings wildly with an uppercut but Brown uses good head movement to avoid it.
Brown lands a hook that snaps the head of Do backwards.
Brown avoiding damage as Do throws knees to the body.
Do tries to land a knee to the head but Brown blocks with his arms.
Do looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Brown tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Do avoids it.
Do is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Do lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Do tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Brown looking to throw knees to the head but Do is blocking nicely.
Do lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Brown backwards.
Brown tries a body shot but Do blocks it.
Brown blocks the elbow strike.

Do tries a knee to the head but Brown blocks it.
Do throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
The referee calls for Do to work.
Do effectively controlling the action here.
Brown blocks a body shot from Do.
Do fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Brown is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Brown throws a head punch that misses.
Brown is trying to break the clinch but Do has him pressed against the cage.
Brown lands a body punch in the clinch.
Brown can't find room to land a body shot as Do controls the action.
Brown lands an uppercut.
Brown lands with a left to the head.
Do managing to block the knees to the body from Brown.
Brown tries to work over Do's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Brown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dave Brown dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Brown connects with a single shot there.
Do shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Brown as he avoids it easily.
Brown misses with a kick to the body.
Brown throws a hook to the side of Do's head but Do sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Do misses with the combination.
Dave Brown is winning the standup battle so far.
Do avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Do shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Brown wants to control the position but Do says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Brown is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Do can do to turn this around?

Do wants to pass the guard but Brown is defending well.

Brown trying to control but Do postures up.
Do is looking to pass Brown's guard but actually Brown recovers to full guard.
Do has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Do content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Do accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Do trying to control but Brown is working from the bottom.

Do postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Do throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Brown works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Brown looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Do is defending well. Brown quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Do has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Brown celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
