Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ruud Gullit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barack Obama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ruud Gullit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Barack Obama!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gullit scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.


It looks like Barack Obama has been cut.
Gullit cracks Obama with a right hand to the side of the head.

Obama drives through and clinches with Gullit against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Gullit.
Gullit swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Gullit has had enough of the clinch but Obama keeps him there for the moment.

Obama gets control of Gullit's arms and successfully pulls guard. Obama will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Gullit is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gullit forces his way into half guard.
Obama tries to roll over but Gullit keeps him under control.

Obama is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gullit pulls his head out easily.

Gullit is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Obama is just riding it out for now. Gullit eventually gives up the hold.

Gullit is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Obama!
Gullit wants to control the pace but Obama is squirming around nicely.

Gullit throws some wild stikes that Obama manages to avoid easily.
Obama is desperately trying to improve his position but Gullit has a good base and remains in mount.

Gullit trying to control the action but Obama is working from the bottom.
Gullit is stalling here. Obama is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Gullit seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Obama has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Gullit gets back to half guard.
Gullit is trying to stand back up but Obama is controlling him

Obama looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Obama is working for a submission of some sort.
Gullit is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Obama's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Obama's back!
Obama rolls, trying to escape but Gullit keeps control of the position.
Gullit is looking to control Obama but Obama is wriggling around and keeping busy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Gullit has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Obama has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Obama uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gullit.
Gullit shoots and misses
and Obama cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Gullit fails with a takedown attempt.
Obama looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Gullit scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Gullit blocks a body shot from Obama.
Gullit prevents a body shot from Obama.
Obama swings wildly with an uppercut but Gullit uses good head movement to avoid it.

Gullit's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Gullit misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Gullit has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Obama avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Gullit is trying to break the clinch but Obama has him pressed against the cage.
Still in the clinch, Obama scores with a nice short uppercut.

Gullit is trying to push Obama away but Obama has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Obama has Gullit pressed against the cage, preventing Gullit from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Obama misses with some punches.
Obama lands a shot to the body.
Obama tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Gullit breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Gullit takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Gullit misses with a double jab.
Obama steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gullit.
Obama looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Obama tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A little feinted left hand from Gullit on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Obama looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gullit throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Obama lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Obama moves out of range of the strikes.
Gullit throws a right and a left that Obama avoids nicely.
Obama ducks under a wild hook from Gullit.
Gullit takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Gullit scores with a one two! Obama had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Gullit throws a right hand that misses
and Obama connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Obama slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Obama is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Gullit looks calm but he's in trouble here. Obama gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Gullit is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Obama lets go of the hold and Gullit can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Barack Obama!
Barack Obama spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
