The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harrison throws a left and a right that both miss
and Whitney counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Harrison thinking.

Zach Harrison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick by Harrison misses
and Whitney counters with a nice uppercut.
Whitney takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Harrison throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Whitney is looking for a counter combo.
Harrison throws a series of punches but Whitney moves out of range.

Whitney really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Harrison connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Whitney's hands.

Harrison throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Harrison rushes Whitney and presses him up against the cage.
Harrison using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Whitney has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Harrison wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Harrison has had enough of the clinch but Whitney keeps him there for the moment.
Harrison's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Whitney gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Harrison regains guard.
Harrison wants to get back to his feet but Whitney passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Whitney's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Harrison is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Danial Whitney will probably get the nod.

Whitney drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Whitney as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Harrison screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Whitney! Nice submission victory there!
