Qasi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, For Whom The Bell Tolls. Vos has chosen Three Little Birds as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Azar Qasi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jake Vos!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vos tries to sprawl but Qasi drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Qasi seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Vos has recovered full guard.
Vos working a defensive guard here.
Vos is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Vos wants to control but Qasi passes easily into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vos looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Qasi is working for a kimura but Vos is defending it quite comfortably.
Qasi sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Vos defending well though.

Qasi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vos doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Qasi.

Vos tries to roll over but Qasi keeps him under control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Vos wants to control but Qasi is keeping busy.

Vos works his way to full guard. Good work.

Qasi has gone for a leg lock! Vos slips out almost immediately though and dives into Qasi's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vos advances position into side control!
Qasi wants to control but Vos postures up.
Qasi regains half guard.
Vos wants to control but Qasi is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vos is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Qasi is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jake Vos!
