With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Nathaniel Razna!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington fails to land the takedown.
Washington displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Razna.
Washington drops down looking for a counter takedown but Razna sprawls and moves away.
Razna looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Razna shoots in for a takedown but Washington shows good takedown defense.
Nestor Washington has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nathaniel Razna.

Razna rushes Washington and presses him up against the cage.
Washington stalling in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Razna breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Razna tries to pull guard but Washington forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Razna fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Razna tries for a takedown. No joy.
Razna is trying to pull guard but Washington turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Washington is struggling to control the position.

Razna breaks from the clinch.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Razna moves into the clinch successfully.
Razna is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Washington pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Razna can't find room to land a body shot as Washington controls the action.

Razna is trying to push Washington away but Washington has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Washington manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Washington is stalling here.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Nestor Washington.
Razna fails with a takedown attempt.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Washington shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Razna's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nestor Washington dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Razna goes for a double leg but Washington avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Washington continues to drive forward.
Nathaniel Razna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Razna stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Razna wants it to stay on the feet.

Razna fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Washington, pushing him back against the cage.

Razna breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Washington dives in and scores a takedown into Razna's guard.
Razna throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Washington drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Razna dives on top into guard.

Razna wanted to stand there but Washington had control of the position.

Razna throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Washington works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Razna is continuing to stall.
Let's hope that Razna has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Washington keeping moving, preventing Razna from controlling successfully.
Washington knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Razna on the ground.

Razna has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Washington is proving hard to escape from.
Razna throws a big right hand that misses.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Razna tries a low kick but Washington avoids it.

and Washington counters with a shoot takedown. Razna fights it but they end up in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Razna has a closed guard, preventing Washington from standing up.
Washington is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Washington postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Razna is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Washington, into his guard.

Washington is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Razna is in close to Washington's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Razna stands up and waves to Washington to follow him.
Razna shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Washington as he avoids it easily.
Nestor Washington has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nathaniel Razna.
Razna misses with an uppercut. Washington saw that one coming.
Razna fails with the takedown
and Washington counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Razna is breathing heavily.
Razna shoots in for a double leg but Washington sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Washington stuffs the takedown attempt from Razna. Razna gets slowly back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Washington misses with a takedown attempt - Razna sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Nathaniel Razna will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Washington drops back, looking for a kneebar! Razna looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Razna looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Razna!

Washington is looking for a sweep.
Razna creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Washington sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Razna controls the position.
Washington regains half guard.
Nestor Washington overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Razna thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Washington is staying active underneath Razna, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Razna content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Razna not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Razna takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Razna is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Washington sees it coming and defends easily.

Razna is working for a kimura but Washington is defending it quite comfortably.
Razna takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Washington is looking to improve his position.

Razna is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Washington is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
