PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Enrico Ciccone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yahweh Falwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Falwell has chosen Don't Stop Believing as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ciccone drives through with a takedown into guard.
Falwell looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Ciccone drops back looking for a leg! Falwell is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Falwell manages to kick Ciccone off! Ciccone jumps back into Falwell's guard.

Falwell has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ciccone can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ciccone drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ciccone jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ciccone drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Ciccone seems to have locked his on tight now - Falwell screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Ciccone, as he picks up the win!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Enrico Ciccone!
Yahweh Falwell spoke after the fight, saying 'Hasa diga eebowai. I guess I didn't pray hard enough, or maybe prayed too much. I bet if I rolled more instead of praying, I might have learned to defend submissions. I guess it's God's will. But to quote George Carlin: "If it's God's will and he's going to do what he wants to anyway, why'.
