The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bogtrotter walks into a stiff left hand from Shaam.
We've been informed that Shaam has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Bogtrotter lands a leg kick that knocks Shaam off balance momentarily.
Shaam cracks Bogtrotter with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Shaam lands with a shot to the body.
Kane Shaam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed right hand from Bogtrotter misses the target.
Shaam doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

and Shaam counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Shaam seems content to control.
Bogtrotter is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Shaam slips a nice elbow through Bogtrotter's hands, connecting with Bogtrotter's forehead.

Shaam takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Shaam seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Bogtrotter is looking for a sweep. Shaam is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Shaam escapes and gets back to his feet.
Bogtrotter is looking to land body kicks.
Shaam throws out a counter right but Bogtrotter avoids it with no problem.
Bogtrotter throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Bogtrotter connects with a good right hand that stumbles Shaam. Shaam circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Bogtrotter on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Bogtrotter takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Bruce Bogtrotter has been cut.
Shaam avoids the head kick by Bogtrotter.
Bogtrotter looks to land a body kick but Shaam moved away.
Shaam moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bogtrotter shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
A cross from Shaam lands.

and Shaam counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Shaam is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Bogtrotter can't keep his opponent in guard - Shaam advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Shaam seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Bogtrotter wants to control but Shaam is keeping busy.

Bogtrotter looking for submissions off his back.
Shaam looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bogtrotter with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bogtrotter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shaam on the ground.
Shaam winds up and cracks Bogtrotter with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Bogtrotter wants to get back to full guard.
Shaam working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Shaam in particular looking to stall.

Bogtrotter is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Shaam pulls his head out easily.
Shaam is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Oh Bogtrotter is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shaam content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Bogtrotter seems to have got his legs back now.
Shaam lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Bogtrotter quite badly. Bogtrotter pulls Shaam in close trying to recover. Shaam postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Bogtrotter on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Bogtrotter doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
