Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Guadalupe Mcfarland!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Myles Pearson!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body kick there by Pearson.

Mcfarland shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pearson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Mcfarland working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Pearson's head.
Pearson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mcfarland's guard.

Pearson sitting in guard here, content to control.
Mcfarland might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mcfarland pushes Pearson off and scrambles back to his feet.

Mcfarland drives through and clinches with Pearson against the cage.
Mcfarland has had enough of the clinch but Pearson keeps him there for the moment.

Pearson manages to break the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mcfarland tries to close the distance and clinch but Pearson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pearson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mcfarland is looking for a counter combo.

Pearson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mcfarland was covering up waiting for the punch and Pearson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pearson stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Mcfarland is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pearson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Mcfarland gets caught napping as Pearson dives in and scores a takedown. Mcfarland manages to retain guard.
Mcfarland could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Mcfarland is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Mcfarland utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Mcfarland is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Pearson dives into side control.

Mcfarland is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Pearson's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Pearson! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Mcfarland has tapped! This one is allllll over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Myles Pearson!
A less than humble Myles Pearson misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
