Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank McDougal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jaspar Van Clausen!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDougal shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Van Clausen as he jumps to the side.
A looping hook to the body misses from Van Clausen. McDougal does a little dance to reset his feet.
A jab lands there for Van Clausen.
Van Clausen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McDougal but McDougal pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and McDougal counters with a nice body shot.
McDougal shoots in looking for a takedown. Van Clausen tries to sprawl out of it but McDougal keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Van Clausen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Van Clausen darts in and clinches McDougal up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Van Clausen gets control of McDougal's arms and successfully pulls guard. Van Clausen will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

McDougal wants to lay and pray for a moment but Van Clausen keeps working.

McDougal looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank McDougal. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McDougal shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Van Clausen as he avoids it easily.
McDougal tries to score a power double leg takedown but Van Clausen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McDougal somewhat.
McDougal shoots in for a takedown but Van Clausen shows good takedown defense.

Van Clausen clinches up against the cage.
McDougal is working for takedown but Van Clausen is calmly controlling the position for now.
Van Clausen lands with a right to the head.
Van Clausen has McDougal pressed against the cage, preventing McDougal from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
McDougal tries to pull guard but Van Clausen holds him up against the cage and eventually McDougal drops back down to his feet.
McDougal is breathing heavily.

Van Clausen successfully pulls guard.
Van Clausen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McDougal. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Van Clausen wants to sweep here but McDougal controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McDougal passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Van Clausen tries to get back to half guard but can't.

McDougal has an Americana. Van Clausen didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! McDougal is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if McDougal hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
