PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Clark Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tsau Tsetsku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tsetsku is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Paula Seling & Ovi - Miracle. Tsau Tsetsku has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Clark Kent's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Clark Kent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tsau Tsetsku!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kent shoots and misses
and Tsetsku cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A left lands for Tsetsku.
Kent goes for a double leg but Tsetsku avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Tsetsku continues to drive forward.
Kent walks into a straight right hand from Tsetsku.

Kent feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Kent with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Tsetsku has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Werewolf's cave. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Kent is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Kent keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tsetsku's head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kent connects with a couple of short punches.
Kent postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Tsetsku really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kent. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kent is in close to Tsetsku's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Kent chips away with some ground and pound.
Kent postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Tsetsku has momentary wrist control but Kent slips an elbow through the middle.
Kent content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tsetsku can do anything to dispel that myth.

Tsetsku is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kent lands a couple of elbows.

Tsetsku is still in real trouble! Can Kent finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tsetsku seems to have recovered his senses.

Tsetsku has hold of Kent's hands but Kent slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Kent thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tsetsku's head.

Kent is working for a submission of some sort.

Tsetsku wants to control but Kent is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kent lands a nice short elbow.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kent connects with a nice short shot to Tsetsku's temple.
Tsetsku is trying to stand.
Kent lands with a punch from half guard.
Tsetsku tries to get to full guard but Kent has control of the leg.
Kent looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kent takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Tsetsku is trying to stand up here but Kent is controlling him well.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clark Kent dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Kent bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Tsetsku is trying to control Kent's posture but Kent avoids it.
Kent scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Tsetsku is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Kent can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Clark Kent!
