The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Seterra clinches with his opponent.
Seterra misses with the head strike.

Seterra breaks from the clinch.

Seterra forces Hyde back against the cage and clinches.
Hyde avoids the elbow strike from Seterra, against the cage.

Seterra is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hyde is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Seterra to the mat. Seterra regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Hyde could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Seterra pushes Hyde off and gets back to his feet.

Seterra closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Hyde tries to pull guard but Seterra holds him up against the cage and eventually Hyde drops back down to his feet.

Hyde breaks from the clinch.
Seterra lands with a slapping head kick.

It looks like Merle Hyde has been cut.
A good leg kick by Seterra.

Seterra closes the distance and pushes Hyde back into the cage.

Seterra works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Seterra must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hyde is on top in guard.
