The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Steigelmann has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Gunnar Steigelmann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Steigelmann throws a left that rocks Jordan and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Steigelmann dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Jordan regain composure!

Jordan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Steigelmann wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Steigelmann is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jordan's shoulder. That is not cool.

Jordan is looking to regain half guard here but Steigelmann keeps moving and retains side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jordan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Steigelmann. That did some damage!

Steigelmann throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

It looks like Joe Jordan has been cut.
Jordan is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Oh Jordan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jordan wants to stand up but Steigelmann is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gunnar Steigelmann dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Jordan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Steigelmann throws an overhand right that lands on Jordan's shoulder, as Jordan tries to avoid the shot.
Jordan seems to have got his legs back now.
Jordan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Steigelmann.

Jordan scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Steigelmann doesn't seem bothered though.
Steigelmann lands with a kick to the temple. Jordan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Jordan lands a head kick. Steigelmann smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Good leg kick by Steigelmann there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Steigelmann has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Jordan has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jordan there as he acknowledges the shot.

Jordan circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Steigelmann drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Jordan follows Steigelmann to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
