The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Cuida.

It looks like Vladimir Nuytuchenko has been cut.
A telegraphed right hand from Cuida misses the target.
No joy there for Cuida, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
And Nuytuchenko responds with a good body kick, but Cuida manages to step out the way in time.
Cuida pulls out of a head kick attempt.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Nuytuchenko has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Cuida tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nuytuchenko replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Cuida blocks it well.
Cuida throws a chopping leg kick but Nuytuchenko manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Nuytuchenko appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
