The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sledge lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bilous circles away quickly and effectively.
Bilous avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sledge misses the shot to the body.
Sledge has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Bilous is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Bilous misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And Sledge tries to counter it with a takedown but Bilous pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Bilous takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Sledge moves in looking to clinch but Bilous pushes him off.

Sledge shapes to counter with a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sledge throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A thudding body kick lands there by Bilous!
Bilous fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sledge manages to avoid it.
Bilous closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sledge to the mat! Sledge manages to get full guard.

Bilous is working Sledge over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Sledge had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bilous defends it easily.
Bilous lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Sledge wants to control but Bilous is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Bilous lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Sledge quite badly. Sledge pulls Bilous in close trying to recover. Bilous postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Sledge on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Sledge doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pavlo Bilous!
