Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christian Battle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terrence Funk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christian Battle!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Terrence Funk!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Battle throws a right hand that Funk ducks under and follows up with a left that Funk also avoids with ease.
Battle swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Funk counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Funk.
Funk working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Let's hope that Funk has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Funk lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
