In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Hanes working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Shaw is pushing Hanes's head away, looking to escape. Hanes manages to hold on to the position though.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Hanes advances to full mount.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Hanes looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Hanes is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Hanes extends the arm and Shaw is forced to tap!
