Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sven Dufva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rubin Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter has chosen Hurricane as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Sven Dufva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dufva drives through with a takedown into Carter's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Dufva wants to control from the top but Carter keeps moving.

We've been hearing good reports from Dufva's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Carter is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dufva is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dufva trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dufva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carter swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dufva has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Carter is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Dufva presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Dufva is trying to pull guard but Carter has him pressed against the cage.

Carter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dufva cracks Carter with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Carter clobbers Dufva with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Dufva takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Carter misses with a straight right.
Dufva swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Carter misses with an uppercut. Dufva saw that one coming.
Dufva lands with a kick to the temple. Carter shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Carter misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Dufva lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Carter at a distance.
Dufva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Carter paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Carter swings for the body but Dufva moves out of range.
Carter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dufva blocks the body kick.
Carter uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dufva.
A nice side step and Carter releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Carter goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Dufva fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carter manages to avoid it.
Carter loads up on a big right hand but Dufva slips the punch.
Carter misses with a head kick.

Dufva forces Carter back against the cage and clinches.

Dufva tries to throw a body punch but Carter avoids it by throwing Dufva back against the cage.

Carter is trying to break the clinch but Dufva has him pressed against the cage.

Carter lands a jab to the head.
Dufva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Carter avoids the head kick by Dufva.
Carter ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Carter throws a quick inside leg kick.

Carter shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Dufva is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Carter rolls with it to try and escape but Dufva cranks on the arm and Carter is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
