The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Major looks for a takedown but Simpson sprawls well.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Simpson! But no joy.
Donk. Major catches Simpson right on the button with a cross.
Simpson throws a hook to the side of Major's head but Major sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Major walks into a left hand.
Major tries to close the distance and clinch up but Simpson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Major throws a big counter combination but Simpson scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

It looks like Bart Simpson has been cut.
Simpson just misses with a punch to the body.

Simpson jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Nice sprawl there from Major as Simpson shoots in.
Jack Major has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bart Simpson.

Simpson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Major's waist but Major gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Simpson off to one side.

Simpson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Major up against the cage.

Simpson jumps into guard, dragging Major to the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Simpson is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Major frees his head nicely. Oh but Simpson has switched to an armbar! Major is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
