Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Shota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kermit Earlandson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shota's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Black Panther Theme by Stephen James Taylor . Earlandson has chosen the theme from titanic as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 35 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kermit Earlandson!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Earlandson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Shota is pushing Earlandson's head away, looking to escape. Earlandson manages to hold on to the position though.

and Shota counters by clinching up.

Shota breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Earlandson darts in looking for a takedown but Shota gets double underhooks and turns Earlandson into the cage.

Shota is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Earlandson.
Earlandson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Earlandson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shota is trying to stand.

Earlandson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Earlandson stops Shota from getting back to his feet.

Earlandson uses his free foot to push down on Shota's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Shota.
Shota's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Earlandson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Shota is surviving well by controlling Earlandson's body position as best he can.
You get the feeling that Shota really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Earlandson wants to take Shota's back but he can't do it this time.

Earlandson looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Earlandson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Shota has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Shota!

Earlandson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Shota is aware though and is defending well.
Shota has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Earlandson is proving hard to escape from.

Earlandson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Shota lands a really nice looking cross but Earlandson seems unphased.
Earlandson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Shota throws out the jab.

Shota comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Shota fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Earlandson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Earlandson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Shota.
Earlandson goes for a double leg but Shota avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Shota continues to drive forward.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shota cracks Earlandson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Shota connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Earlandson's hands.

Earlandson dives in and grabs Shota's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shota pushes down on Earlandson's head and hops out.
Earlandson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shota moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Good exchange - Shota coming out on top.

and Shota connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

And that's the end of the fight!
Adrian Shota showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Shota has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
