The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers shoots in for a double leg but Leningrada sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rogers throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Rogers throws a right hand that Leningrada ducks under and follows up with a left that Leningrada also avoids with ease.
Leningrada swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rogers closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Leningrada quickly recovers to half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rogers is working for an americana but Leningrada has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Rogers was thinking about the submission.
Rogers tries to free his leg and advance position but Leningrada is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rogers is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Rogers slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Leningrada is trying to escape the position but Rogers is controlling the position.
Rogers has an Americana. Leningrada didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Rogers is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Rogers hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
