Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Everett Duncan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thor Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Everett Duncan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Thor Davis!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Duncan rushes Davis and presses him up against the cage.
Duncan is struggling to control the position.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Duncan.

Davis pulls guard effortlessly.

Davis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Duncan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Davis is on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Davis drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Duncan dives on top into guard.

Davis is looking to stand up but Duncan isn't so interested in that idea.
Davis pulls Duncan in close to prevent any damage.
Davis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Duncan is one step ahead there.

Davis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Duncan defends well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Davis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Duncan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Davis pulls his head out easily.

Davis misses with a head shot. Duncan uses the momentum to regain guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Davis looking to sit in guard and control but Duncan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Duncan really is a fat lump.

Davis wants to stand but Duncan is controlling the position.
Davis looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Thor Davis will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Duncan gets tackled into the cage by Davis. Davis maintains the clinch.
Davis throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Duncan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Davis defends it easily.
Davis is looking to advance position but Duncan has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Duncan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Davis on the ground.

Davis is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Davis bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Duncan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Duncan throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Davis throws an elbow that misses. Duncan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Davis's guard. Nice move by Duncan!

Duncan lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Davis not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Duncan content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Duncan is in close to Davis's body, working some short punches and elbows.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Davis is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Davis is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Duncan dives into side control.
Duncan lands a decent elbow from side control.
Davis takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Duncan cracks Davis with an elbow. That is naaassty.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Duncan lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Davis down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Everett Duncan dominated that second round.
That's time! Duncan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Duncan has managed to clinch.

Davis has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Duncan uses from the top position.

Davis has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Duncan has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Duncan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Davis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Davis manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Duncan on his heels. He'll look to pass Duncan's guard now, I'm sure.

Duncan has his foot on Davis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Davis works his way back into a safe position though.
Everett Duncan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Thor Davis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Davis has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
