Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Brophy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Coulson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brophy kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Last Caress/Green Hell - Metallica. John Brophy could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Phil Coulson's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brophy walks into a jab.
Coulson blocks a low kick nicely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coulson closes the distance and clinches up with Brophy, looking for a takedown. Coulson pushes Brophy against the cage but Brophy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Coulson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Brophy - the referee stops the clock and Coulson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Brophy. Coulson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Brophy has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Coulson is on him like a limpet, forcing Brophy back against the cage.

Coulson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
