Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryo Rossi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bob Skidopolopolous!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rossi closes the distance and clinches.
Skidopolopolous breaks the clinch.
Skidopolopolous will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rossi takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
It looks like Ryo Rossi has been cut.
Rossi darts in and clinches Skidopolopolous up against the cage.
Skidopolopolous lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Skidopolopolous's coach down at Brutal Force Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Skidopolopolous's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Rossi drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Skidopolopolous gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Skidopolopolous throws a head punch that misses.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Skidopolopolous.
Skidopolopolous escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Skidopolopolous bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rossi's head backwards.
Rossi tries to clinch up.
Rossi has taken the fight to the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rossi has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Skidopolopolous is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Skidopolopolous lands a right hand.
Skidopolopolous throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Rossi is breathing heavily.
Skidopolopolous misses with a hook to the ribs.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Skidopolopolous works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Skidopolopolous lands with a left to the head.
Skidopolopolous breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Skidopolopolous drops Rossi with a beautiful combination! Rossi stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Skidopolopolous is looking for the KO!
Rossi is rocked!
A big right followed by a crushing left from Skidopolopolous knocks Rossi out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Bob Skidopolopolous!
