With a record of 13 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fabio Villegas!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Villegas is looking for a triangle but Oppelaar pushes his legs off easily.
Oppelaar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Villegas has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Oppelaar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Villegas is staying active underneath Oppelaar, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Oppelaar looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Villegas with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Oppelaar lands a big elbow - Villegas is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Oppelaar!
