Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Naya Shinoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinoki comes to the ring accompanied by wadiako. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Shinoki .
Shinoki tries to counter with a takedown but Watson is quick to defend against it.

Watson tries to kick Shinoki off but Shinoki keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Watson is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Shinoki wants to pass to mount but Watson is defending the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Watson is looking for a sweep. Shinoki is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Watson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Shinoki moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Shinoki will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Watson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Shinoki is controlling him.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Shinoki is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Watson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Shinoki looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Watson manages to escape and get back to his feet!

That was a close round but I would say that Naya Shinoki will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Shinoki dives in and grabs Watson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Watson pushes down on Shinoki 's head and hops out.

Shinoki tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Watson swivels and escapes.

Watson scores with a hook to the body. Shinoki takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

and Watson counters with a nice uppercut.
Shinoki takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Watson circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Shinoki tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Watson wins by KO!
