PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jo Smo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russell Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patterson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. "Still Unbroken" by Lynyrd Skynyrd kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jo Smo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Russell Patterson!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smo lands a big right hand that sends Patterson crashing to the mat! Smo stays standing though and waves Patterson back to his feet!

It looks like Russell Patterson has been cut.
Smo misses with a head kick.
Smo looks to land a body kick but Patterson moved away.

Patterson closes the distance and clinches.

Smo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Patterson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smo tries to avoid it but Patterson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smo to the ground. Smo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Smo swings for the body but Patterson moves out of range.
Smo closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Patterson! Smo dives in looking to finish! Patterson is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jo Smo!
A very excited looking Jo Smo rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
Russell Patterson was interviewed post fight and said 'Nothing changes, just the fans!'.
